Ugh...I am so disappointed to write this review. I was loving the way the food tasted...but then around 3am I woke up to HORRIBLE FOOD POISONING. I had 2 rolls of sushi and a salad. I will NEVER be able to eat sushi again because of this place. I filed a complaint with the Health Department because it was just awful, never been so sick in my whole life. I have eaten sushi weekly for the past 10 years and have never been sick from it. People here apparently don't wash their hands. STAY AWAY.

Very bland food and I'm not a lover of spicy dishes. Mine and my wife's dish were very soupy for noodle dishes. I should have listened to the other reviews and stayed away.

Love this place! The food is always consistently delicious. The sushi is fresh and the sauces with some of the rolls are awesome. The Wakame roll and dragon roll are two of our favorites. They also do Thai very well. We haven't had a bad meal there. The service can be spotty, but the long-time wait staff is great. The outdoor seating is nice too.

I'm a big fan of Wakame. The services has always been great, as well as the food. My family and I eat here on almost a weekly basis. Both the food and service are always consistent.

This restaurant is fantastic! We consider ourselves foodies and this is the best sushi we have ever eaten! The atmosphere is nothing special, basic decor and a sushi bar, but the food, above and beyond. We have taken several groups of out of town visitors, and they have all said it is the best sushi they have ever tasted! They also have Thai and Hibachi, which are also very good, but we go specifically for the sushi. If I may make a few suggestions, some of our favorites, the Jalapeño Forest Roll, the Tropical Storm Roll, the Wakame Roll, the Crazy Tuna Roll and the TNT Roll. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!!!

This place is pretty good- we went for lunch ordered some sushi rolls, a tempura appetizer and one hibachi lunch entree- all very enjoyable. The service was good and the atmosphere pleasant I was glad to find a good Japanese place in the Julington area...

Went to dinner last night with my family for the first time and was thoroughly disappointed. The waitress seemed to have a bit of an attitude. We did not get silverware, napkins, chopsticks until after she delivered our food and came back to see if it was ok. We were sitting outside waiting on her to come back. The food was average, not impressed at all. The sushi chef and 2 cooks came outside on the patio (where many of us were seated) and smoked several cigarettes at a dining table while we were all eating.

I am a big fan of sushi so when I tell you that this place is good, I really mean it. The food tastes and looks very fresh, and the service staff are friendly and attentive. My absolute favorite roll is the crazy tuna. Beyond delicious in every way. I am so addicted to that peppered tuna they put on top of the pieces... It's amazing! A little pricey but well worth it for the quality of food and atmosphere. Love this place.

Pretty good food. Very creative menu. We got take out one time and they messed up the order, but they brought it to our house, even though they don't deliver.

My good ole reliable Asian food place. The noodle dishes are good and so are the sushi selections. I usually just get take out. Try this place out!

One of my favorite Sushi places in Florida. I come here every time I visit home and the food is always great and service is consistently pleasant. I would suggest the JB roll, Amazing salmon, Jalapeño forest. But realistically you can't go wrong with any roll here :)

My wife and I went here on a Friday night. We've been wanting to try this place. We had about a 15 wait for the table. After that we were seated and our waitress quickly served us. She got us some drinks. We decided on a couple of dinners and some sushi as an appetizer. The sushi came out pretty quick as did the soup and then the salad. Each was pretty good. However, there was a bit of delay before the food arrived. Not too long but noticeable. Portions were good. I asked for mine to be spicy, but it really wasn't. My wife's was done right. After dinner, it was also a bit of a while before the waitress came back to check on us and to get our check. So service was good, not great. Food was good; worth coming back. The menu also has a good selection. We will need to try this again to see if service improves.

I have tried Thai food in Jacksonville and orange park and this is hands down, THE BEST Thai I have ever had. I'm a small girl, but I can eat a lot of food. The portion size is amazing and their green curry with veggies is loveeee:).

This is a neighborhood restaurant that is consistent. You know that one you can always count on, that has your favorites and makes it close to how you prefer it. Then they get better and start to deliver on Saturday (call to be sure, sometimes no delivery person is around) so you can binge watch a show and never leave the house. Yup, it is that restaurant for us here in Durbin/Aberdeen. Do note: they do not deliver on Sunday Our favorites from their menu: Pad see ewe- my go to. With chicken or tofu and when you ask for thai spicy, you get medium so be sure to emphasize what you really want. Yellow curry- one of the best I've had. I love that they add avocado to it. Chicken satay- it's delicious. The sauce that comes with it, use it, use it real good ;) it is worth dunking that chicken on a stick a billion times. Tempura shrimp roll- I found it to be meh, it needed a sauce that add a creamy note with a bit of spice. It has potential though. If you are in the area and want to eat some thai food, it's a good spot for lunch or dinner. Check it out!

This place is tucked in the back side of the Bartram Walk shopping center. It started out as a seafood place and now is Thai. I do like the interior of the place. It was done well because I happened to be on the crew that built it some 100 years ago. The service was pretty good but they had 2-3 servers there and only one other table with people. The food is good and well presented. I will say that the portions are a little on the small side. Today I went with the combo of shrimp and scallops hibachi with fried rice. Everything tasted good was cooked well. I will come back to this place for lunch but that is maybe cause of the lack of good eating establishments in the area.

Facility nice, clean, good atmosphere. Wait staff friendly. Food was all a bit oily. Yum, yum sauce runny. Rice very dry. Disappointed there is no hibachi bar for the price..family of 6 not going back

This is a very average fusion Asian restaurant. The food is good, but not exceptional especially for the price point. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was good. The restaurant is very open and you will find yourself sitting quite close to someone next to you due to the lack of space in the place. Service was average. My server did seem very busy, but my water was always full and she got whatever I asked for. Only hiccup was she forgot the sushi till we were halfway through our entrees. The sushi was decent but would have been better if served to us sooner as it was a bit cold for a fried sushi roll. Overall the food was decent, service alright and more expensive than it should be.

Been here a few times, service is always good even when they are packed! Never any complaints with the food either!

Pretty good. Went on an early evening date and the place was empty. Sushi was excellent and Pad Thai was perfect. I am sure this place gets packed out on the weekends. It has a nice selection of dishes, good atmosphere and good service plus it's in a good location. Prices were fair. Would definitely go back.

I personally love this place and it's now my favorite sushi in 2 counties. The service is always good. The food is very consistent. I've turned several of my friends unto this place and they have all been very happy! I've had several items from their menu, but my go-to is always the Wakame Roll! It's the most delicious sushi roll on the planet. It has great texture and is wrapped with soy paper, which I find to be a very interesting combo. It also comes with a 3 part sauce that I could drink with a straw! Do yourself a favor and check this place out.

Sam the server was awesome and this is why I gave them three stars. The staff is good the food is so so . The chicken came with a smell and it looked like it was cooked yesterday . When we told the server he was nice to go talk to the manager . The manager sent him back saying that it's the same chicken that was cooked with today and maybe we are not used to the flavor .the food is disgusting and will never come back. The manager did not even come to the table to apologize for the disgusting food that was not touched yet still charged on my check .

This is by far my favorite resteraunt. I come here often and I'm never disappointed! The edamame is perfect and the clear soup is amazing. The sushi is always perfectly rolled! Definitely try this place out!!

Anyone giving this place poor reviews is an idiot. This is the best sushi in Jacksonville hands down. And I've eaten at every single one of them. Not only does Wakame have the most original and most variety of options, they are the most delicious ever. Don't listen to the naysayers. They are wrong.

Would not return. Sushi not good. Chicken tasted like it was 2 days old and was rubbery. Pad Thai, tasted nothing like it should! Soup was supper fishy. Yuck.

Great food and friendly service. The Wakame steak was superb. The Thai Me Up cocktail was even better.

Really good food! I got the Clear Soup, Gyoza, and Pad Thai. All of which tasted really fresh and good. The Gyoza weren't soggy and oily like some places and the soup was loaded with all the tempura bits and mushrooms unlike other restaurants. Also the broth was superior to what I've had in the past. I've never had Pad Thai, so I tried that and it was a large portion and was delicious. I'm glad I decided to stop by after work because I found my new favorite restaurant. They have a large menu selection and competitive prices. Also the decor was lovely and there's a nice choice of outside seating as well. The restaurant was dead but our waitress wasn't off talking or doing something else; she stayed focused on the table. I was very pleased with my experience and will be returning weekly for an excellent meal.

I was looking for a Japanese place for lunch and on my way to another place I found on Yelp I passed this place so I ate here instead. It was not crowded (granted it was an off time like 3:30/4), fast, and good but nothing over the top that haven't had before. They had the bento box specials which I always like and I liked that it wasn't just a "lunch special" and you can get the bento box all day. The bento box was a lot of food and I even had leftovers for dinner. I just moved to this side of town and would go back for that type of meal.
